Terms of Use

These terms explain how Instapod users may generate, use, privately share, and publicly post AI-generated nanopods, and how verification, authorship, and public-sharing responsibility are handled.

Effective March 22, 2026

User Content And Responsibility

You are responsible for the research content, prompts, files, claims, labels, and other materials you submit to Instapod, as well as the way you use, describe, and share any resulting nanopod. You should only submit or share content you have the right to use and process.

Private use of nanopods generated from publicly available research content is allowed for personal, internal, educational, evaluative, administrative, and exploratory purposes. Private sharing between users through the platform is also allowed, but private sharing does not by itself make a nanopod official, verified, author-approved, or institution-approved.

You retain ownership of content you submit, subject to any rights held by third parties. By using Instapod, you grant the limited rights needed for us to host, process, transform, display, and deliver that content and any related nanopod outputs as part of the service.

Research Content And AI-Generated Summaries

Instapod converts research papers and scholarly content into short AI-generated audio summaries called nanopods. Nanopods are interpretive transformations designed to simplify and make source material easier to understand, not to reproduce the source text or author intent verbatim.

Instapod does not act as a publisher of the underlying research content and does not assert editorial control over the original work.

Nanopods may omit nuance, compress methods, simplify context, or frame conclusions differently than an author, lab, university, journal, or publisher would. For a complete, exact, or authoritative understanding of any work, users should review the original source material.

Instapod may attach notices, labels, badges, or disclosures to nanopods, including labels such as AI-generated interpretation, Not an official author statement, Verified, or Unverified, to help communicate provenance, status, or limitations.

Users agree not to remove, hide, or misrepresent any labels, badges, or disclosures applied by Instapod when sharing nanopods externally.

Sharing And Public Posting

Users may share nanopods privately through Instapod. Public posting or external sharing, including posting to social platforms, professional networks, publisher pages, lab pages, university pages, or other public channels, is done at the user's own responsibility.

If you publicly post or externally share a nanopod, you represent and warrant that you have the right and authority to do so. Instapod may require you to confirm that you are the primary author of the underlying work or that you have authorization from the primary author or another appropriate rights holder to post on their behalf.

You must not use Instapod or any public-posting workflow to falsely suggest that a nanopod is an official statement, approved communication, or authorized publication if it has not actually been approved for that purpose.

Verified And Unverified Nanopods

Instapod may distinguish between Verified and Unverified nanopods. A nanopod may only be designated as Verified if it was created by the primary author, created by an authorized entity, or explicitly approved by the author or other appropriate rights holder.

Unverified nanopods are user-generated or community-generated interpretations and should not be treated as official author statements, institution-approved communications, or rights-cleared publication assets.

Users are responsible for the truthfulness of any claim to authorship, authorization, endorsement, or verified status. Instapod may rely on user-submitted representations and confirmations, or workflow attestations, without independently validating them unless Instapod expressly states otherwise.

Prohibited Conduct

You may not falsely claim to be the author of underlying research, falsely claim to act with author or rights-holder approval, or falsely imply endorsement by an author, lab, university, institution, journal, publisher, or other third party.

You may not represent an unverified nanopod as an official communication, use Instapod to mislead others about provenance or authority, or remove or obscure material labels, notices, or disclosures that Instapod applies to nanopods.

You may not use the service in violation of applicable law, intellectual property rights, contract terms, publication restrictions, confidentiality duties, or platform rules, and you may not upload malicious code, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with the service or other users.

Platform Rights And Enforcement

Instapod may remove content, limit visibility, revoke a Verified label, attach additional warnings or disclosures, restrict sharing, suspend accounts, or terminate access if we believe a user has violated these Terms or misrepresented authorship, authority, endorsement, or rights.

Instapod may also preserve, review, or disclose account information, content, labels, and sharing records as reasonably necessary to investigate misuse, enforce our policies, protect users and third parties, or comply with legal obligations.

We may update, improve, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. If billing, subscriptions, or paid plans are introduced or changed, the pricing and service terms shown at checkout or in-product will govern those offerings.

Disclaimers Regarding Authorship, Endorsement, And Accuracy

Instapod provides AI generation, transformation, listening, and sharing tools. Unless Instapod expressly states otherwise in a specific workflow, Instapod does not independently verify authorship, authority, endorsement, institutional approval, publication rights, or legal permission to post or share a nanopod.

A nanopod does not imply approval, endorsement, or adoption by any author, lab, university, publisher, journal, institution, or rights holder unless that approval has actually been obtained and appropriately designated. Instapod is not responsible for user misrepresentation of authorship, approval, or authority.

Nanopods are for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as professional, scientific, medical, legal, or policy advice.

Instapod is provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that any nanopod is complete, accurate, rights-cleared, author-approved, publication-ready, or suitable as a substitute for the original source material, and to the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim liability for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or similar damages arising from use of the service.

Changes And Contact

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date on this page. Continued use of Instapod after an update means the revised Terms apply.
